LL. B (Makerere University, Kampala)

Diploma In Legal Practice (Law Development Centre, Kampala)
M.A in Population Studies, University of Legon, Ghana.


Tasks in th Current Position:

Providing Legal Advisory and consultative services to Government ministries and public agencies

Handling legal assighnments for the Attorney General and Solicitor General, regading Government ministries and Public Agencies

Providing Legal support to the Government ministries, public Agencies and commissions

To research into legal issues for the purpose of enabling the development of guidelines for policy

Interpreting Government policies to and by the various ministries /departments and other public agencies.

Directorate of Public Prosecutions - Pupil State Attorney (1981 - 83)

Mrs. Byakutaga Kiggundu, who is married with four children, has attended various post graduate training in different fields.

She attained a post graduate training in Referendum Law from Canada (1999), the Law and Practice of Referenda (1998) from Ireland, Switzerland, Intellectual Property (1997) from Uganda.

Others include; Introduction to Trade Marks Law (1992) from Munich, Population and Development Inter- relationships (1989) from Moscow and Introduction to Intellectual Property Law (1988) from Zambia.

Mrs. Byakutaga Kiggundu has since been active in civic areas. She is a Councilor of Central Division, Kampala, Secretary for Women Affairs, Kamwokya 1 Parish, Kampala.

She holds professional membership from Uganda Law Society and FIDA Uganda.
