Educational Qualifications:

LL. B (Makerere University, Kampala)

Diploma In Legal Practice (Law Development Centre, Kampala)

LL.M (Legislative Drafting)
University of the West Indies, Barbados

Duties and Responsibilities:

Chief legislative drafter of Government

Drafting principal legislation (bills), subsidiary legislation (including rules, regulations and byelaws) and resolutions of Parliament.

Vetting Ordinances of Local Government Councils.

Attending parliamentary debates to monitor passage of bills through Parliament.

Advising government departments on parliamentary procedure and other legal matters.

Interpreting existing or proposed laws.

Any other duties assigned by the Solicitor General.
